Early Bird Activites

(not included in registration)

10 AM Meet in Hotel Lobby

Piestewa Peak Desert Hike, 10 AM – 12 PM.

This activity is FREE.
- First is a light desert hike at Piestewa Peak, which will take approximately 2 hours, including
  travel time from the hotel there AND back. This is an “easy to moderate hike.” We will then
  return to the hotel well before 1 PM. Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Bring water,
  sunglasses and a hat. You will have time to shower and change if you want to continue to the
  next planned activity. For those who do not wish to participate in the
Musical Instrument Museum, 1 PM –6 PM.
This activity is $20 + lunch on your own at the famed “In N out Burger!”

  At approximately 1 PM, we will meet in the hotel lobby and leave for the Musical Instrument
  Museum. “MIM has a collection of more than 7,500 instruments from more than 200 world
  countries and territories. The galleries reflect the rich diversity and history of many world
  cultures. But music and instruments also show us what we have in common—a thought
  powerfully expressed in our motto, music is the language of the soul.” – MIM website.
  We will take a lunch break around 2 PM-3 PM, and depending on the group’s consensus, those
  who would like to go back to the hotel can be shuttled back, and those who want to stay at the
  MIM longer will be picked up on the second round.
