Joelle Dunn

We are pleased to announce that Joelle Dunn will be a guest at JemCon 2024!

“Jem Glitter ‘n Gold Jingle Singer”

Joelle, also known as Joey, has been a professional SAG-AFTRA singer and violinist since the age of 8. Living in NJ, she traveled to NYC during the 70s and 80s to sing on hundreds of commercials for products such as M&Ms, Volkswagen, JCPenney, and more. She rounded out her childhood years being the sole voice on the iconic "JEM’s Gone Gold" toy commercials in 1988.

The 90s proved difficult for Jingle Singers with Joelle ultimately working in administration, getting married and moving to Southern California to raise her twin daughters. As a stay-at-home mom, she continued to perform as a singer and violinist in the studio. In 2008, she accidentally found herself filling a much-needed role as Vocal Director and Casting Assistant at a community theater company.

She taught hundreds of students ages 5 to 80 the melodies and harmonies to musicals such as Shrek, Seussical, Oliver! and more. She decided to try stage performing and landed the belty role of The Sour Kangaroo in Seussical. She also played the narrator in Joseph and Momma Shrek and Dragon in Shrek.

She ultimately cast a professional production of Les Misérables before taking some time off from the stage. During that time she continued to hone her craft, becoming part of an online singing group called “The Sound.” The group created numerous unique covers before disbanding during the pandemic.

She continued to sing, entering contests and winning various prizes. This year she celebrates 33 years of marriage and both she and her husband are proud of their girls who will turn 30. Currently, she is devoting time to a Voice Over Artist career and looking for new opportunities to sing professionally.

She is humbled and delighted to make her debut appearance at JemCon this October in Phoenix, AZ.
