We received five entries for the JemCon 2022 Fan Fiction Contest!
The following criteria were provided to aspiring authors:
Jem, Riot, and Pizzazz have been asked to star in a Victorian melodrama performed on an historic Mississippi riverboat (like the recently retired Minnesota Centennial Showboat) and, in true Jem fashion, mischief ensues! Exactly what kind of mischief is entirely up to you!
Jem, Pizzaz and Riot must all make an appearance in your story. Other characters can also be included.
Your fanfic must also have the following elements:
A showboat
The Mississippi river
A moustache
Judging was based on the following elements:
Originality, creativity, and "universal appeal"
Style and ease of reading (i.e. grammar, spelling, and punctuation)
Adherence to the theme and the rules listed above
Inclusion of all the required elements
