Role: Speaking Voice of Jem/Jerrica Benton

Appearing: All three days

Biography

With a wildly loyal global fan-base for her voice-over work as "Jem" and "Jerrica" in the classic animated series "Jem and the Holograms," Samantha Newark is the voice that defined a generation. She brought emotional depth and authenticity to the dual identity of Jerrica Benton and her holographic alter-ego Jem, creating one of the most iconic characters in 80s animation history.

Samantha is also a part of the iconic Hasbro brand "Transformers" with guest-starring roles as "Ariel" and "Elise Presser." She can be heard as the gentle British voice of Peter Pan's mother in the beloved Steven Spielberg feature film "Hook" and starred in the campy horror flick Summer Camp Nightmare with Chuck Connors as rebel camper Debbie.

In the late 2000s, Samantha was a part of the legendary Leonard Cohen circle. Her original music and vocals can be heard on many blockbuster game titles such as God of War, Twisted Metal Black, and Wild Arms 3, plus movie soundtracks and hit TV shows such as Smallville, Gossip Girl, The Ellen Show, and the Kardashian franchise.

Based in Nashville, TN, Samantha is currently writing for her 5th solo album. Celebrating Jem's 40th anniversary and enjoying a resurgence of brand new Jem treasures from Funko, The Loyal Subjects, Loungefly and more, Samantha frequently makes live appearances at pop culture and fan conventions nationwide and enjoys a robust, wildly loyal, and devoted following around the world.
