Biography

Garth Jensen lives north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and has been attending JemCon since 2009! Garth has been a devoted Jem fan since his childhood, collecting dolls, DVD sets and specializing in creating unique mashups of the show's original songs. Music has always been an important part of Garth's life, from being a radio DJ at University of Toronto at Scarborough, to producing original songs and remixes. With the help of producer Jared Jones, Garth's remixes for Ari Gold (singing voice of Ba Nee) became his first official releases! More recently, Garth was able to collaborate on a special mashup of the Jem Theme and Rainbow Brite's Brand New Day which was performed live at San Diego Comic-Con with Britta Phillips, Samantha Newark and Bettina Bush! Garth also launched his YouTube channel "Garth's Pop Culture OH!?" to celebrate the way his life experiences overlap with movies, TV, music and LGBT issues!

JemCon is very special to Garth because, as Jem sang in Music and Danse, "our differences will melt away!" Garth has witnessed this magic in person, with the convention providing a safe space for a diverse, creative, sparkly group of fans from all walks of life (and countries) to celebrate everything about Jem & The Holograms!
