Singing Voice of Red Johnny Mac aka the Beast

Tom Bernfeld is an American songwriter, singer, and musician. He has collaborated on music album productions for a number of artists, mainly during the 1980s, including “Norma Human and the Body People.”

He played the guitar and sang with his sister Ellen Bernfeld (the singing voice of Pizzazz) on her demo song “Don’t Ask Questions!” which is how Ellen got the iconic singing role of Pizzazz.

Tom provided the singing voice of the mysterious fan favorite Red Johnny Mac aka The Beast for the song “Let Me Go” in the Beauty and the Rock Promoter episode.

He is delighted to be making his debut virtual appearance at this year’s JemCon and reminiscing with his sister Ellen about their time working on Jem.
