JemCon is delighted to announce that it's partnering with Time Out Youth for this year's charity auction.

Time Out Youth (TOY) is Charlotte's only community center solely for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 – 24. Their mission is to support LGBTQ+ young people by offering vital programs, fostering unconditional acceptance, and creating safe spaces for self-expression through leadership, community support and advocacy. Since 1991, TOY has served over 20,000 young people in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. They do this in many ways: providing free mental health counseling services, facilitating support groups, hosting fun social events such as Prom and Juneteenth celebrations, and providing trainings to community partners and educators to help spaces become more LGBTQ+ inclusive. Their housing and supportive services department also helps LGBTQ+ young people achieve housing stability in the community through access to government assistance, bus passes, employment opportunities, housing partners, showers, laundry, a food pantry and Life Essentials Closet, and more. In 2024, TOY helped 37 youth secure housing, provided 576 free counseling sessions, saw their drop-in space visited 1477 times, and welcomed 236 new young people to their services!"
