We are over the moon to announce that Dena Quilici (the classic toy line fashion design consultant) will be making her first appearance in person at JemCon 2023!
Dena Quilici is a toy industry and design veteran who brings a wealth of knowledge spanning design strategy, product development, fashion design, concepting, manufacturing, product line expansions and more.
She began her career as a trained fashion designer in the early 80s. Her background in fashion design is what piqued Hasbro’s interest in bringing her on as a fashion consultant within the doll division where she contributed development work on several Rio fashions. She started out as a Project Director within the soft goods division working closely with JemCon alum Carla Reiss and Stefanie Eskander among others. While she supported multiple lines, her focus on the Jem line was bringing innovative, but realistic fashion designs to the Jem toy line.
She later moved into a Design Director role where she provided additional oversight into the larger concepting and manufacturing process at Hasbro. She ultimately became a VP of Design and Development supporting both Girls Toys, which included Fashion Dolls and Playskool’s Infant/Toddler/Preschool product. She offers a unique perspective in that she was at Hasbro back in the 80s and was on the team at Hasbro that explored ways to relaunch the Brand and bring it back to the market today.
She continues to offer design and development consultancy on a limited basis. She is looking forward to connecting with her former Hasbro colleagues at JemCon 2023.
