PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday and Thursday activities are OPTIONAL and not covered by registration. Meals, shopping, and lake equipment rental costs are on your own. Van transport is free, though donations will be gladly accepted. If you would like to drive your own car, or join us later, that is also fine.

Friend or Stranger: Friday Night Mixer [in-person only]

Join us for our Friday get together. Meet and greet with your fellow convention goers, and get to know all the truly outrageous faces you’ll be seeing all weekend. There will be a trivia contest as well as other fun icebreaker games. The winner of our fanfiction contest will also be announced! Light refreshments will be served, and a cash bar will be available.

Virtual Mixer Madness (Games and Socializing) [virtual only]

It’s time for the virtual welcome to JemCon 2022: Midsummer Madness in Minneapolis! Join John Hellman for some games, socializing, and some surprises!

Feel Good with Phaedra: Wellness & Self Care [in-person only]

Guided meditation, positive affirmations, and gentle movement for an uplifting and energized start to your day at JemCon. We’ll share our favorite self-care ideas and put together mini gratitude journals.

Who Is She: Hasbro Jem Variants with Liz [in-person AND virtual]

The mother of JemCon brings you the mother of all Jem variants classes, assisted by her entire collection. Submit your questions early to jemconforever@gmail.com with the subject "Liz Class Questions" and Liz will highlight those things to the best of her ability. Dolls, fashions, shoes, glasses, even playsets - let's explore the maddening world of factory variants together.

First Love: Cartoon Discussion with Christine [in-person only]

Who was Jem kissing? Why were the Misfits making so much mischief? And what about the Stingers hitting town? Stay tuned for an animated discussion on all aspects of the cartoon, moderated by Christine.

Back In Shape: Resin Casting with Tivia [in-person only]

This tutorial workshop includes a video presentation teaching a step by step method for molding and casting replacement parts such as shoes, boots and other items out of resin followed by questions and answers with Tivia about the process.

Only Me & The Music: Music Discussion with Garth [in-person AND virtual]

There's a Melody Playing on the radio and on countless cassettes, DVDs and YouTube streams. Choosing our favorite music from Jem all Depends on the Mood we're In! Join our open discussion on all the musical stylings featured in the cartoon, moderated by Garth.

Special Guest Panels [in-person AND virtual]

Samantha Newark (the voice of Jem) will be at JemCon in person to answer all your questions and share stories of her time on the cartoon.

Rick Hoberg (storyboard director), Christy Marx (series creator), and Townsend Coleman (the speaking voice of Riot) will also be joining us virtually to answer all your questions and provide their own hot takes.

Midsummer Night’s Madness: Saturday Night Extravaganza [in-person only]

Join us at our Saturday Night ball. Features the annual JemCon Cosplay pageant, hosted by Tivia, as well as Jem themed karaoke followed by the dance party to end all dance parties (hosted by DJ Garth). Cash bar will be available.

That’s Not The Real Me: Jem-Sized Knockoff Fashions with Liz [in-person only]

You've perhaps seen this class or the frequent JemCon display before, but this time it's EVERYTHING in one place to see. At least, everything Liz has. Send questions ahead of time to jemconforever@gmail.com, subject "Liz Class Questions."

Let’s Not Forget the Past: The History of Fashion Dolls with Harloe [in-person AND virtual]

Did you know the first fashion doll was created back in the 14th century? Learn this and other facts as Harloe will be presenting an overview on the history of fashion dolls, followed by a brief discussion.

We Can Make A Difference: [in-person AND virtual]

  • BLM & Critical Race Theory panel with Raven

  • Stop Asian Hate panel with Christine

This workshop will explore several societal conditions, beginning with an exploration of Critical Race Theory, abbreviated "CRT", then covering the epidemic of increasing hatred against members of the Asian-American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander population, abbreviated "AANHPI", and how BIPOC communities and Allies can come together to support one another. Given our connection to the representation and diversity in the extended Jem universe, we want to ensure that JemCon remains a space where complex issues of social justice can continue be to explored by people of all ages, ability, expression and identity. She Makes an Impression: Autograph Session [in-person only]

Special Guest Samantha Newark (the voice Jem/Jerrica) will be signing one JemCon item per guest. It’ll be Like a Dream!

People Who Care: Charity Auction [in-person only]

A long-time JemCon staple, the Charity Auction is back and better than ever! All proceeds from this year’s charity auction will go towards The Trevor Project, providing 24/7 crisis support to LGBTQ at-risk youth. You get to take home a rare Jem item and support a terrific cause!
