Rockin’ Romance on the Rhode Island Ocean Front

This year’s souvenir fashion celebrates the Ocean State and we want you to create a fun, versatile outfit! Our favorite Outrageous rock stars need an exciting day-to-night look that takes them from a casual day at the beach to a sizzling night on the town. Your bubbly design should transform from salt water breeze to champagne scenes and will be custom produced as the official fashion for JemCon 2023!

Do I have to design for Jem only?

The contest is open to all characters.  The design does not need to feature Jem.

Who can enter the fashion contest?

The fashion contest is open to everybody around the world!

When do entries need to be received by?

Entries must be received by Friday, December 2nd 2022 and submitted on the official template. They will be reviewed for originality, creativity and practicality for custom production. Each person is allowed up to two entries. Both entries must be submitted together.

How do I submit my entry?

Once your design is finished, please e-mail us the completed template at jemconforever@gmail.com along with a detailed description of the look you have created.

Who decides on the finalists?

The JemCon fashion committee (consisting of the JemCon chair, fashion coordinator and seamstresses) will evaluate all submissions for originality, creativity, and ease of execution. Remember the design must be manageable to sew in small scale, which is needed for designs to be accepted.

When are finalists notified?

Finalists will be posted on jemcon.xyz in December. At that time voting will be open to the general public for two full weeks.

Who decides on the winning fashion?

Jem fans just like you do! While the JemCon fashion committee decides which fashions make it into the finals, the winning fashion is decided on by a majority vote from the general public.

When is the winning fashion announced?

The winning fashion will be announced sometime in December once voting has closed.

What does the winner designer get?

The winning fashion designer will receive design credit and their very own custom-made fashion, which will also be made available to JemCon 2023 attendees with registration for the 2023 convention.

To sweeten the contest, the winner will also receive a Truly Outrageous prize pack, including a signed print by the original Miss Pink Hair Samantha Newark, the speaking voice of Jem and Jerrica who will be one of our special guests at Jem Con 2023.

Anything else I should know?

By entering the contest you grant JemCon and all associated parties an indefinite, nontransferable license to use your design and derivatives of your design for promotional and fundraising purposes associated with JemCon. You understand that the winning design will have a limited edition fashion produced adapted from the submitted design and that this will be used as a promotional item for JemCon.
